About Us

Upgrade Energy brings together energy efficiency and renewable energy experts. Over the last decade, there has been a growing awareness of the energy problems amongst companies, individuals and governments and no integrated solution available to tackle the problem. This lead to the establishment of Upgrade Energy and the commitment to join forces and provide the market with an overall concept.

Our team is experienced in a large number of renewable energy technologies which allows an objective assessment and the implementation of the right energy technology or a combination of various technologies.

Upgrade Energy is a spin-off of VITO (Vlaamse Installing voor Technologisch Onderzoek), the Flemish Institute for Technological Research. After a challenging start in 2008, activities picked up quickly and by 2010 Upgrade had already realized a significant number of projects. Our expertise, experience in project management and multifaceted approach haven’t gone unnoticed. In 2011 Upgrade Energy started its expansion into other countries and opened offices in Beijing (China) and Kielce (Poland). Since 2012 Upgrade is present in Hong Kong and Croatia. Other offices opened in Istanbul (2013) and the Philippines (2014).  We have realized projects all over the world and are dedicated to finding solutions for new challenges every day.
